Monknash near Llantwit Major on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast
Saturday 8th September
Beach Day and GBSD at Monknash in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Meet at farmer's field Car Park at 9:30am (£3 in the honesty box) and walk to beach 10am.
The route is not suitable for those with mobility problems as there are two stiles and the path is rough and uneven. We will leave the beach 3:15pm to 3:30pm and head to the
Plough & Harrow for refreshments.
Beach Clean on the way back – please bring a carrier bag and gloves (if req’d) for collecting rubbish as we leave the beach.

The tide is right for a skinny dip at Monknash near Llantwit Major on the Vale of Glamorgan Heritage Coast
We will meet at the car park (Grid ref SS 91272 70036) at 930 am and walk down through the Cwm, across the pebble beach and on to the big sandy stretch known as Traeth Mawr. The 40 minute walk is unsuitable for those with mobility problems since there are three stiles and the steep path can be uneven and slippery at times.
