Sunday 10th September 2017 : Cleats Shore, Isle of Arran
Cleats Shore is Scotland’s most westerly official naturist beach, named after the igneous stone dykes that extend from the shore. It is located at the end of a short farm track off the A841, about half a mile west of the village of Kilmory on the southwest corner of Arran. The beach is a mixture of sand, pebbles and larger boulders with views across Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre. It has a long history of naturist use and is listed on the Visit Arran tourism website. It has also featured in television programmes including Paul Murton’s Grand Tours on BBC Scotland.

Sunday 10th September 12 noon to 3pm
The event is organised locally by Jon Oates, swims coordinator for British Naturism Scotland and North of England Region (British Naturism, SANER).
This is a public, free, open-access event without the need for pre-booking.
Please bring your own picnic and refreshments, sunscreen, hat & warm/waterproof clothing if the weather forecast looks unpromising.
Beach games & songs are strongly encouraged. Bring your own frisbee, boules, football, guitar etc.
The meadow above the beach is used by grazing cattle, so we would rather you didn’t bring a dog. If you do, please keep it on a lead.
The island bus service 323 from Brodick ferry terminal is an easy way to reach the beach track and avoids the need for a car.
